Glazing vision have adopted their pioneering frameless design ethos with this product so that when installed the building occupants can enjoy sky only views from the roof window something not usually found with traditional roof window products. If you are unsure the skylight manufacturer should provide drawings to indicate minimum curb heights which will allow your builder to calculate how high the top of the slope needs to be to achieve the desired pitch. With this skylight the glazed section slides as a single leaf and is supported by tracks on the roof itself in the open position. When using manufacturer produced curbs that aren t tall enough the roofing professional will have to extend the curb.

To achieve the required pitch a curb is usually constructed around the aperture in the roof which will accommodate the slope into it for the skylight to be structurally fixed to. Typically the top side of the skylight well runs at 90 degrees to the roof slope and the bottom side if splayed is framed plumb see figure 3 20.
